Time Ages Blue

Megumi Jindo

this was said to fortify the bricks

decadence in defiance

the summer is starting

and the ants are crawling up that wall again

but it’s fine

it’s over a hundred degrees

the boat’s lulling

docked on the shore

we’re flying

to a place dark and shining

we’re landing for the night

between the trees

in the cold bustling grass of your bosom

if ever i did have you

then i’d rather be in your arms once more

be the line that you draw across

holding it down

the floorboards are creaking now

flinging myself towards you

a normal thing

velvet roses flutter free

and the winds are asking

are you ready?
