Madeline Berberian-Hutchinson is a 17 year old poet and artist from Brooklyn, New York. As a senior at Stuyvesant High School, Madeline is an editor of The Spectator, Stuyvesant’s student newspaper. She is also the editor-in-chief and co-founder of Noor Magazine. She is a two time NYC Youth Poet Laureate Finalist, and her work has been published by Girls Write Now, the New York Public Library, and Rough Cut Press. She has recently received awards for her poetry by The City College of New York, and the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, and is the 2024 winner of the Young Armenian Poets Award. Her poems revolve around queerness, nostalgia and girlhood, exploring how these themes change and grow over time. Beyond poetry, Madeline loves medieval mosaics, etymology, and buttered pasta.
